What are the three characteristics of metamorphic rocks? Very dense, Melding of minerals and resistint to erosion.
How are metamorphic rocks formed? Metamorphic rocks are formed when pre-existing rocks are subjected to great heat and pressure resulting in a signifigant chamge in the rocls structure.
What are three examples of metamorphic rocks changing? limestone becomes marblegranite becomes gneiss shale becomes slate.
What are the 4 characteristics of sedimantary rocks? Not interlocking, distinct layering, less resistent to erosion and may contain fossils.
What are 4 examples of sedimentary rocks? Sandstone, limestone, coal and siltstone.
How are sedimentary rocks formed? Sedimentary rocks are formed when the agents of erosion breakdown pre-existing rocks into sediments which are subsequently deposited, compressed and cemented together.
