QuestionAnswer
Doxycycline (Vibramycin) that is taken at regular intervals but not within 1 hour of bedtime because it may cause esophageal irritation. Use another method of birth control, do not take antacids within 1-3 hours of taking medication, and may cause photosensitivity.
mydriatics are contraindicated with glaucoma. tachycardia,, blurred vision, photophobia, dry mouth, Apply pressure on lacrimal sac for 1min, Wear dark glasses
Retina detached sleep prone with affected side down, avoid pin point movement with eye (sewing), high fluid and roughage (prevents constipation=no straining)
Colchicine, Probenecid Agranulocytosis, GI upset, Renal calculi, Give with food, milk, antacids
Miotics headache, photophobia, hypotension, bronchoconstriction, May experience transient brow pain and myopia, Avoid sunlight, Apply pressure on lacrimal sac for 1min
Naprosyn NSAIDS Take with food or after meals, Monitor liver and renal function, Use cautiously with aspirin allergy, Check for bleeding
timpotic Treating increased pressure in the eye (ocular hypertension) and open-angle glaucoma
dont use timoptic if you have severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) or a history of asthma or you are using another beta-blocker eye drop (eg, betaxolol)
osmitrol is for reducing pressure in the eye.
dont use osmitrol if certain severe lung problems (eg, pulmonary congestion or pulmonary edema), bleeding in the brain, or severe dehydration
dont use colchicine/probenecid if... you have certain blood problems or kidney stones caused
dont use Azulfidine if you have folate deficiency anemia
Azulfidine Take by mouth after meals, Take with a full glass of water
dont take calcium carbonate if if you have high blood phosphate levels or high levels of calcium in the urine
kiniret is for o treat the symptoms of moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis in patients who have had an inadequate response to one or more antirheumatic drugs. may be used in combination with other antirheumatic medications.
dont use kiniret if have recently received a live vaccine; have a suppressed immune system
