Reye Syndrome acute non-inflammatory encephalopathy often associated with administration of ASA during viral infection (varicella of influenza)
Epilepsy involuntary muscle contraction and relaxation
Aura sensation experienced by some just before the onset of a seizure
Automatisms repetitive reactive movement patterns
Clonic contraction opposing muscles contract & relax alternately
Tonic Contractions all muscles maintain in contraction at one time causing rigidity
Jacksonian Contractions muscle contraction that begins in one area and spreads to another
Laterality contractions which side of the body is involved
Status Epilepticus series of seizures at very brief intervals, too brief to regain consciousness (risk for respiratory failure and death)
Ketogenic Diet high in fat, low in carbohydrates and protein
Strabismus brain receives two images instead of one
Amblyopia decreased visual acuity in one eye results in diplopia
