What hormones does the sex hormones produce? female-estrogenmale-testosterone
What is the purpose of the thyroid? Metabolism and growth, stores iodine, thyroxine(t4) and triodothyronine(T3), and calcitonin
What are the purpose of the parathyroid gland? calcium and phosphrous metabolism, PTH(parathyroid hormone)

What diagnostic test measure iodine absorption Radioactive Iodine Uptake Scan(RAI)
Thyroid Scan discontine thyroid meds 4-6wks prior to the test, d/c meds/foods with iodine salt
