What are nursing interventions for a client with safety risks? | Identify environmental hazards in the home and community. Demonstrate safety practices, Experience a decrease in the frequency/severity of the injury and demonstrate safe child-rearing practices or lifestyle practices. |

What are some safety measures for infants and newborns? | Ensure in a car seat, never leave them unattended on a raised surface, check the temp of the bath water prior, hold infant upright while feeding, check crib for regulations,appropriate toys, cover outlets & cords out of reach, lock away meds/poision |
What are some safety measures for toddlers? | Carseat, teach not to put objects in mouth, keep objects with sharp edges out of reach, hot pots with handles inward, poisions/meds locked up, supervise in tub, fence in pools, teach not to run/play in streets, cover outlets. |
