| Transform | Two plates shift and move in two different directions. Can cause earthquakes |
| Convergent: subduction | A continental and a oceanic plate move towards each other, the oceanic plate goes underneath. Can cause tsunamis. |
| Convergent | Continental plates move towards each other, one goes underneath the other can create mountain ranges |
| Divergent | Plates move away from each other. Can cause volcanoes |

| How does wind and air masses affect climate | If affects the climate because if there are commonly air masses in a place when they move they will take those characteristics with it. |
| How does elevation affect climate | It affects climate because it becomes colder the further up you go because as air rises it expands and cools because of lower air pressure. If you are higher up you will have a colder climate then those who live at sea level |
| How does relief affect climate | It affects the climate because if you live on the windward side of a mountain you will have a lot of precipitation and be very humid but if you are on the leeward side of a mountain it will be very dry |
