Orthopnea | an abnormal condition in which a person must sit or stand in order to breathe deeply or comfortably |
Plueral friction rub | low pitched grating or creaking lung sounds that occur when inflammed pleural surfaces rub together during respirations |
Pneumothorax | a collection of air or gas in the pleural space causing the lung to collapse |
Silibant wheeze | musical, high pitched sqeaking or whistlelike sound caused by rapid movement or air throught narrowed bronchioles |
Sonorous wheeze | low pitched, loud coarse snoring wheeze |
Stretorous | pertaining to a respiratory effort that is strenous & struggling which provokes a snoring sound |
