diuretic effect occur within 30-60 min. peak in 1-2 hours Loop
sodium restriction is required to achieve max effects of the drug loop
drug accumulation does not occur even with repeated doses Loop (the kidneys get rid of the drug)
immediate diuresis Loop
can be used in renal impairment (CCL <30 mL.min) Loop
most commonly used loop diuretic and serves as the prototype Furoemide (Lasix)
may be used to produce diuresis in some patients who no longer respond to furosemide Bumetanide (Bumex)
more potent Loop on a drug-weight basis, and larger doses can be given in small volumes Bumex
High ceiling diuretic Loop (Lasix)
uric acid levels will rise with this diuretic, so don't give to someone with gout Loop
more potent if given IV push, can cause ototoxicity forever Lasix
Washes out all electrolytes so hypercalcemia is not a problem Loop
if patient does not diures within ________ minutes after IV push, then call they Dr. Five
with oral admin. urine flow should increase within _____ min 30 with Loop
