non-hodgkin's lymphomas | malinant diseas that originate in lymph glnds and other lymph tissues-lymphoid tissue enlarges to accomodate proliferation of malignant cells |

secondary lymphedema developes from | masectomy, radiation treatment of breast cancer, |
primary lymphedema causes | burns, repeat phlebitis or streptococcal infection |
Tx lymphangitis or lymphadenitis | broad-spectrum anitbiotics |
problem with chemo and radiation | no immune system left also push fluids for radiation to facilitate excretion of cells destroyed in therapy |
