World Geography

TermDefinition
Geography The study of the earth
Climate What it is like outside for a long period of time. Our placement near the equator helps set our climate.
Weather What it is like outside for a short time. The moving air changes our weather conditions.
Wealth A great amount of money
Culture A group of people's beliefs, food preferences, hobbies, etc. It is how we describe the people of an area.
Government A group of people in control of an area.
Limited Government A government that is limited in their power - government workers have to follow the same rules as everyone else.
Unlimited Government A government that is unlimited in certain powers - government workers get special treatment in various ways.
Majority Rules The people can not agree. There is a vote. The thing with the most votes wins.
Economics The study of money.
Consumers The people that buy or use up something.
Producers The people that make or grow something.
Needs Something you have to have to survive.
Want Something you wish for but can survive without.
Goods Items for sale.
Services Duties for sale. For example, cleaning someone else's house for payment is a service.
Continent The largest pieces of land on earth. There are a total of 7.
Country The regions we create on continents. (Have their own flags and governments)
