Neurologic signs & symptoms | Any newly acquired neurologic finding - Confusion, impaired alertness/ consciousness, nuchal(neck) rigidity, HTN, papilledema (optic nerve), CN dysfunction, abnormal motor function |
Onset | Sudden, abrupt, split-second, "thunderclap" headache (suggests subarachnoid hemorrhage, sudden onset increased ICP) Onset of HA with exertion, sexual activity, coughing, sneezing |
Onset (age at onset) | older (>50Y) and Younger (0-5Y) |
Previous History | First Headache in adult (>30) [pattern usually established (<30)] New onset of different HA (change in frequency, severity, clinical features including: progressive HA w/o HA free period) |
