Term | Definition |

Plain | A flat mostly grassy area |
Plateau | High,flat land |
Island | An area of land surrounded by water |
Tributary | A stream of water that flows into a larger body of water |
Cape | A rock or piece of land that juts or sticks out of another body of water |
Rift | A big crack separating blocks on the earth's surface |
Fjord | A river between a high place like a canyon |
Bog | a wet and muddy terrain too thick to hold anything heavy |
Archipelago | A chain of islands |
Floodplain | An area of low lying-ground next to a river prone to flooding. |
Peninsula | A piece of land almost surrounded by water, it's like a natural bridge to a big piece of land |
Glaicer | A slow-moving chunk of large ice that have a unique color of blue a lot of glaciers have |
