The Heart Act as a pump that circulates the blood through the lungs and into all parts of the body A four- chambered, hollow, muscular organ that lies in the chest cavity and pumps the blood through the lungs and into all parts of the body
The Blood carries oxygen from the lungs to the cells. absorbs nutrients from the small intestine and carries them to the cells. The liquid portion of the blood is called the plasma.It contains red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets
The Blood Vessels Their are three types of blood vessels. Arteries, veins, and capillaries. Blood vessels that carries oxygenated blood away from the heart. Veins carries blood from parts of the body back to the heart. Capillaries smallest blood vessels. The walls of the capillaries are only one cell layer thick.
Disorders of the Circulatory Systems Congestive Heart failure: The heart is unable to pump enough blood, and fluid builds up in the lungs. Leukiema: This is the term for cancer of the blood. Rheumatic heart disease: The organism that causes rheumatic fever damages the valve of the heart. Congestive Heart Failure,and Rheumatic heart disease are diseases of the heart. The Heart is a four-chambered, hollow,muscular organ that lies in the chest cavity and pumps the blood through the lungs and into all parts of the body
The Respiratory system provides a pathway for oxygen to get from the air into the lungs, where it can be picked up by the blood organs of this system includes the nose, mouth, throat, trachea, lungs, bronchi, and larynx.
The trachea and Bronchi kept open by incomplete cartilage rings. (blank)
