WORDS TO KNOW DEFINITIONS
Centripetal force  An inward perpendicular force that causes an object to move in a circle  
Friction  The resistance one object feels when it is in contact with another  
Net force  The force that is left when all forces acting on a body are taken into consideration  
Newton (N)  The unit for force; equal to the mass of an object times its acceleration (Kg . m/s2)  
Perpendicular  A line or ray that meets another at a ninety (90) degree angle  
Principle of inertia  The resistance of a body to a change in its state of rest or motion  
Reaction  The response to an action  
Rotational inertia  The tendency for a rotating object to remain at rest or in motion  
Torque  A force that causes rotation; equal to mass times length of the radius
