How do you find the mass number of an atom? Add the protons and neutrons in the nucleus.

Which elements are most similar - the elements in a group or the elements in a period? group
Looking at period 3 on the periodic table..do the metals or nonmetals have a larger mass? nonmetals

The periodic table is arranged by what property of an atom? atomic #
Which particle determines an element's atomic #? proton
