Represent and Interpret Data

analyze to read and study the data on a graph
data collected information or facts

key tells how many each symbol represents
bar graph a graph that compares data by using bars of different lengths or heights to show the values
frequency table a table that shows the number of times each result occurs
interpret to explain what a graph shows
line plot a graph that uses Xs above a number line to show how often a data value occurs
pictograph a graph that uses the same symbol to represent more than one tally
quarter inch one of four equal parts of one inch
survey to collect data by asking people the same question
tally marks a mark made to keep track and display data recorded from a survey
picture graph a graph that uses different pictures to represent each tally
scale a set of numbers that represents the data in a graph
tally chart a chart that uses tally marks to show the results of data collection
