StudyStack App

StudyStack's app for Android and iOS devices is still being developed. If you would like to use the beta version of the Android app please join the StudyStack Beta testers community on Google+.



StudyStack data can be exported to the programs listed below.  If you would like to be able to download to another program, send an email to exports@studystack.com.
 

 

FlashTutor

FlashTutor is a free flashcard app for Android devices. Import stacks from within the app by searching for keywords or usernames. The built-in Tutor method automatically shows you cards you get wrong more often, and as you get them right it moves on to new cards you have not seen yet. You can view your flashcards in a searchable list for an overview, or to easily compare cards to each other. Use it as a portable, searchable dictionary of your vocab words!
 


 


FlipIt Flashcards

FlipIt Flashcards is a free flashcard app for Android phones. Once installed on your phone, you can use FlipIt Flashcards to search for studystack sets or browse for sets by category or by your studystack username. To display your studystack sets, you need change the setting in FlipIt to specify your studystack username. After starting FlipIt, press your phone's MENU button to access the app's settings.
 


 


gFlash+

gFlash+ is a free flashcard app for Android phones developed by gWhiz Mobile. The ability to download your sets from studystack requires you to purchase a $0.99 upgrade inside the app. Once installed on your phone, you can Add sets from studystack after entering a studystack username. Any sets created by the user name entered or starred as a favorite will be listed. gFlash+ has lots of settings that you can adjust to change the way in which your cards are displayed. You can choose between multiple choice, single sided, and you can organize your cards in boxes similar to studystack's correct/incorrect/remaining boxes.


 


Kaka Flashcards

QR code Kaka Flashcards is a free beta flashcard viewer for Android phones developed by Marcin Oczeretko. Once installed on your phone, you can browse the StudyStack categories or you can get a list of the stacks that you've created or starred as a favorite. Selecting a stack downloads the stack to your phone's local database from which you can then study. It's simple to review your cards by just swiping your finger across the screen.

StudyDroid PRO

StudyDroid PRO is an inexpensive flashcard app for Android phones. Once installed on your phone, you can use StudyDroid PRO to access any public stacks that you created or ones that you have starred as a favorite.
From StudyDroid PRO's home screen, press the MENU key and then select Sync. Next pick StudyStack.com as your source, enter your StudyStack username and press the Sync button. All your StudyStack sets will be downloaded to your device for you to study.


 


POP quiz

POP quiz is an inexpensive flashcard app for Android phones. Once installed on your phone, you can use POP quiz to search for stacks by category or access any public stacks that you created or ones that you have starred as a favorite.
From POP quiz's Quiz Builder screen, press the MENU key and then select Import QB. After selecting StudyStack.com as your Import Source, you'll be able to enter your StudyStack username to access your stacks or to search for stacks in a particular category.


 


Flashcards ToGo

Flashcards ToGo is an inexpensive flashcard app for Android phones. (There is a free version, but it doesn't support importing cards.) Once installed on your phone, you can use Flashcards ToGo to search for stacks by category.
 
To import cards, press the app's "more" button (it's a downward pointing arrow with a circle around it), then select "Import Cards" and select studystack.com. You'll then be able to browse the different categories to find the cards you would like to import.


 


Smart Study Cards

Smart Study Cards is a free flashcard app for Android phones. (However, the app requires a small in-app purchase to access cards from StudyStack.) You can use Smart Study Cards to download your stacks or browse the sets by category.


 


gFlashPro and gFlash+

gFlashPro and gFlash+ are the premium and free versions of gWhiz' flashcard application for the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. gFlashPro makes it extremely simple to get your StudyStack flashcards onto your iOS device. Using gFlashPro, you just enter your StudyStack username and the app lists all the stacks from your My StudyStack page for you to download directly to your device. gFlashPro is available from the iTunes App Store
 
1. For gFlash+ (or gFlashPro), you can email this flashcard set from StudyStack to your Google mail account by entering your gMail address below.
2. From gMail on your computer, import the flashcards into a Google Spreadsheet.
3. Then use gFlash's "Add" command to get your "Google Docs" and add the cardset to your device.

Touchcards

Touchards is an inexpensive flashcard viewer application for the iPhone and iPod touch. It is easy to use and interactive, relying on swipes, taps, and shakes to study a flash card set. The Touchcards application can import this set from StudyStack by entering 1 on Touchcard's import tab. The Touchcards app is available from the iTunes App Store


 

Stacks Flashcards

Stacks Flashcard for Android devices allows you to import flashcard sets from StudyStack or create sets on your phone or tablet. The app is free but does display ads. This is one of the newest flashcard apps out there and the developer is actively adding new features. Stats let you easily see which cards you most frequently mark wrong.


 

Quizard

Quizard is a complete flashcard application for Android and iPhone/iPod touch devices created by GabySoft. Using the app, you can create your own flashcards, use any of the several built in sets, or download sets from studystack and other flashcard sites. There are two versions of the app: a free Lite version and the inexpensive full-featured version. You can find the Android version of Quizard by searching for 'Quizard' in the Android Market on your phone. The Quizard iOS apps are available at: Quizard - GabySoft


 

PocketCram

PocketCram is a versatile flashcard application for Android. A unique feature of this app is its ability to automatically download all of the sets that you create on studystack.com. Using the app, you can create your own flashcards or download sets from studystack and other flashcard sites.


 

iMemento

iMemento is an inexpensive flashcard viewer application for the iPhone and iPod touch developed by Thomas Busse. It allows you to configure how the cards look and the order in which the cards are presented. More details on how to import cards from StudyStack into iMemento are available in
iMemento's FAQ. iMemento is available at the iTunes App Store

     


Kleio

Windows Mobile 7

Kleio is a flashcard app for your desktop or WP7 device by Pencil Hill Studios.  The app uses Spaced Repetition Learning to track the difficulty of your flashcards, and to shows you harder ones more often. The mobile app can be installed as either a free but ad-supported version or a paid version without ads. The Kleio desktop application is free. Visit kleio.info for more information.


Mystikeep FlashCards

Mystikeep FlashCards is an inexpensive flashcard viewer app for your WP7 device.  The software can be downloaded from Windows Phone Marketplace
 
Mystikeep allows you to download all your public stacks at once by entering your StudyStack user id. Or to import just this set into the Mystikeep FlashCard app, find the screen in the app where it asks you to enter a "Word List From the Web" then enter the following location into the app:

StudyME

StudyME is a simple flashcard display tool for devices supporting Java/J2ME which includes many cellphones.  First download StudyME and install it on to your cellphone using the procedure specific for your phone and carrier.  Once installed, use the program's "Download" command to retrieve any of the data
stored at StudyStack.com.  To retrieve this dataset, enter Stack ID: 1.
 
If your cellphone cannot access the internet to download data, but you can install .jar and .jad files to your phone using a cable, infrared or bluetooth connection, then you can use the button below to download a .jad file that contains the data for the current stack.
     
     


FlashCards for webOS

FlashCards for webOS is an inexpensive study tool for your webOS powered phone (such as the Palm pre) developed by James Harris.  If you do not already have a copy of this program on your webOS device, you can buy it in Palm's app store.

QuizWiz

QuizWiz is a free study tool for your PalmOS PDA from nosleep software.  It will display data as flashcards, true/false, and multiple choice.  It also keeps track of your progress so you can see how you are improving.  If you do not already have a copy of QuizWiz on your PalmOS PDA, you can download QuizWiz from PalmGear.com

Quiz-Buddy is a free study tool for your PalmOS PDA from Sierra Vista Software.  It will display data as multiple choice or yes/no questions.  "Quiz-Buddy for Palm saves you time because it adjusts to your way of learning and acts like a patient teacher who knows which questions to ask more often."  If you do not already have a copy of Quiz-Buddy on your PalmOS PDA, you must first download Quiz-Buddy.

WinFlash Educator is an award-winning shareware study system for the PC that supports several testing modes (including Leitner) to make your study more efficient.  A free trial version can be downloaded from the Open Window web site.

BrebsFlash is an easy-to-use flashcard creator, downloader and viewer for BlackBerry phones, able to browse and download public StudyStack decks in-app. It can also search for the decks created and/or favorited by a specific user. Simply start from the Import menu within BrebsFlash.

gFlashPro

BlackBerry
gFlashPro is an inexpensive flashcard viewer for BlackBerry devices. Visit gwhizmobile.com for download instructions.  Unlike most of the other applications, StudyStack will email the flashcards directly to your BlackBerry device.
