Addison’s Disease A disorder in which the adrenal glands don’t produce enough hormones.

Huntington’s Disease An inherited condition in which nerves cells in the brain break down over time.
Emanuel Syndrome An inherited chromosome abnormality; stunted growth and development and learning problems.
Graves’ Disease A disorder of the immune system that causes the thyroid gland to make too much thyroid hormone—a condition called hyperthyroidism.

Hyperlipidemia Excessive fat in the blood
Lymphedema Swelling caused by abnormal accumulation of the lymph, usually in the extremities
Leukocytosis Increase in the number of white blood cells
Deep vein thrombosis Formation of a blood clot in a vein deep in the body, most commonly the leg
Embolism Blockage in a blood vessel caused by an embolus
Anemia Reduction of red blood cells noticed by the patient as weakness and fatigue
Angina pectoris Oppressive pain in the chest caused by irregular blood flow to the heart
Aortic stenosis Narrowing of the aorta
