Class IV Calcium Channel Blockers
Sodium Channel Blockers prevents entry of sodium into the cell during depolarization, causing a decrease in excitability and contractility
Potassium Channel Blockers can be used to treat supraventricular and/or ventricular arrhythmia
Calcium Channel Blockers decrease calcium's influx into the cardiac cell, slow AV, conduction, decrease contractility
Class II Beta-Blockers
Beta-Blockers slow the heart rate by blocking the sympathetic nervous system's beta-receptors
Nitroglycerin frequently used for relief of ischemic chest pain in patients with coronary vascular disease and angina
Heparin effective with patients suffering from deep vein thrombosis (DVT) to prevent the spread of the clot
Antiarrhythmics used to treat and/or prevent arrhythmias
Anti-hypertension treat high blood pressure
Narcan/ Naloxone emergency antidote for narcotics (opioids) overdose. It reverses the effects of the drug by binding to the drug receptor on the body cells
Blood thinners medication include Warfarin/coumadin
beta-blockers medication include Esmolol, Propranolol, Metoprolol and Labetalol
Anti-hypertension medication include hydalazine, nitroglycerin and diltiazem
