nicotine An unhealthy substance in tobacco which smokers can become addicted to.
cancer A disease that damages the body.
cigarette Tobacco wrapped in paper that can be smoked.
passive Breathing in a smoker's cigarette smoke; _______ smoking
alcohol A drink that contains ethanol that can get people drunk.
scabies A skin disease caused by a mite.
infection When bacteria or viruses invading the body.
head lice Many parasitic louse that spread over the human scalp and causes itching.
mite Microscopic bugs that annoy and infect animals, plants and insects.
contagious A disease or illness that is easily passed on, like a cold.
cavity A hole in the tooth. This is unhealthy and painful. Keeping your teeth clean with help this from not happening.
lungs Your inside organs that allow you to breath in oxygen.
insects Small creatures with many legs.
depressant A drug that slows you down, like alcohol.
pimples Any small, rounded, usually inflamed swelling of the skin.
pores Tiny openings in your skin that allows it to breath and sweat.
drug Medication or an addictive substance.
rash Red and itchy skin caused by a reaction by something.
decay When something is dying or rotting, like a tooth. Things turn black when it does this.
puberty When the bodies of boys and girls begin to turn into men and women. This usually happens between the ages of 12 to 18.
hormones The important chemicals your body makes. Some of these help turn children into adults during puberty.
toothpaste The paste you use to clean your teeth.
damage Injury or harm to a person or thing.
brain An important organ that is found in the skull. It helps you think, move your body and breath.
nervous system This is made up of the brain, the spinal cord, the nerves, and the sense organs, such as the eyes and ears.
toothbrush The thing you use to brush your teeth.
asthma A sickness of the lungs that needs to be taken care of with medication.
chemicals A substance or thing that can be found in drugs and the human body. Some are good and some are dangerous.
treatment The thing you do to fix a sickness.
disease A thing that hurts the body and can be very dangerous to a person's health if untreated.
fluoride A chemical found in toothpaste.
