QuestionAnswer
What is Voltage measured in? Measured in microvolts (mV or uV).
Duration Definition and what it's measured in: The time it takes for a wave to occur in a period of time. Measured in miliseconds (msec).
Frequency Definition and what it's measured in: How often a wave can occur in a period of time. Expressed in Time but measured in Hz or FPS. Measured in hertz (Hz) or cycles per second.
Gain (Amplifier) / (D) Definition and what it's measured in: The ratio of the output signal to the input signal (or) the amount of magnification being used to amplify or increase the voltage of a signal. This cannot be changed itself, but sensitivity can. Measured in millimeters (mm).
Sensitivity Definition and what it's measured in: The amount/ratio of input voltage required to produce 1(mm) of pen deflection as an output and is expressed in uV/mm.
What is PD the same as? V
What is Sensitivity measured in? uV/mm

What does 'D' stand for? Deflection
What is the definition of Ohms (Ω)? A resistance between two points of a conductor when a constant potential difference of 1 volt, applied to these points, produces in the conductor a current of 1 ampere. The conductor not being the seat of any electromotive force.
What is the definition of Micro Units? Less than 1 in value.
What is the definition of Micro (u)? 1 Millionth.

Use these flashcards to help memorize information. Look at the large card and try to recall what is on the other side. Then click the card to flip it. If you knew the answer, click the green Know box. Otherwise, click the red Don't know box.

When you've placed seven or more cards in the Don't know box, click "retry" to try those cards again.

If you've accidentally put the card in the wrong box, just click on the card to take it out of the box.

You can also use your keyboard to move the cards as follows:

If you are logged in to your account, this website will remember which cards you know and don't know so that they are in the same box the next time you log in.

When you need a break, try one of the other activities listed below the flashcards like Matching, Snowman, or Hungry Bug. Although it may feel like you're playing a game, your brain is still making more connections with the information to help you out.
