emotional bank accounts think of your new and old relationships as bank accounts with deposits (doing something that helps the relationship) and withdrawals (things that may hurt the relationship)
make deposits of kindness and helpfulness to people's EBA's by doing this, you maintain relationships and its easier to make new ones
find out what a deposit is for the other person make sure what you think a deposit is aligns with the other person's views on deposits
small acts of kindness use kindness and positivity as currency and influence others
keep promises big emotional withdrawals take a longer time to repair/ deposit back
keep confidence be careful what you share to and about people
be loyal to the absent avoid gossiping
set clear expectations be clear and to the point, don't leave things fuzzy
apologize and forgive learn to admit when you're in the wrong and forgive those who are wrong and ask for forgiveness
