2)What are the 5 effective feedback mechanisms in oral communication with patients. Attenting, paraphrasing, resquesting clarification, perception checking, and reflecting feelings (Egan,chapter 3, page 45 paragraph 12).
3)What are the basic purpose of communication in the health care setting? To establish rapport,to comfort an anxious patient by explaning the unknown, to obtain information, to relay pertinent information, to give instruction,and to persuade others to take action (Egan, Chapter 3 page 44, box 3-1).
4)What are the internal factors that can affect communication? Previous experiences, attitude, values, cultural heritage, relifious beliefs, self-concept, listening habits, preoccupations, and feelings (Egan, Chapter 3, page 44, figure 3-10).
