description | a spoken or written summary of observations |
explanation | an interpretation of observations |
precision | a decription of how similiar or close measurements are to each other |
accuracy | a description of how close a measurement is to an accepted or true value |
bias | intentional or unintentional prejudice towards an outcome |
ethics | an acceptable standard of conduct; rules of conduct or moral principle |
blind study | a procedure that reduces bias; investigato, subject, or both do not know which item they are testing |
sampling | a method of data collection that involves studying small amounts of something in order to learn about the larger whole |
