Decidious Forest | A forest biomes where the leaves on the trees fall off during winter, or the dry season, and grow back in the spring and summer. |
Tundra | A treeless plain found in the Artic or on the tops of mountains that is characterized by very low winter temperatures and short, cool summers. |
Grasslands | An area that often has scattered trees and that is found in tropical and subtropical areas where seasonal rains, fires, and drought happen. |
Desert | A region that has little or no plant life, long periods without rain, and extreme temperatures; usually found in hot climates. |
Taiga | A biome occurs in the higher latitudes such as northern America or Russia. It has very cold winters and cool summers with moderate to low precipitation, mostly evergreen trees and a variety of animals in the summer. |

Saltwater Ecosystem | Type of water ecosystem that includes the oceans. |
Temperate Forest | A biome known for its temperate weather. This means it has four season: summer, fall, spring, and winter. This biome also has lots of rain and fertile soil. |
