Nitroprusside | Decomposition of the solution looks orange, dark brown or blue. Blue means almost complete decomposition. Do not use if discolored. |
Chlorpromazine | Slightly yellow is okay! Do not use if darker than light yellow. |
Dopamine | Slightly yellow is okay! Do not use if darker than light yellow. |
Dacarbazine | Pink means the solution has decomposed. Do not use. |
Norepinephrine | Brown means oxidation has occurred. Do not use. |
Epinephrine | Oxidation turns the liquid pink then brown, do not use if discolored. |
Isoproterenol | Do not use if liquid turns pink or darker. |
Morphine | Do not use if the solution is dark. |
Tigecycline | Reconstituted solution SHOULD be yellow/orange. Do not use if green/black. |
