What is pollination? | When pollen is carried from on flower to another and comes in contact with the carpels stigma. |
What is formed when the pollen fertilises the egg cell? | A zygote. |
What does the zygote develop into? | A seed. |
What are the 4 methods of seed dispersal? | Animal, Wind, Water and Self dispersal. |
What is germination? | The first stage of growth. |
Why is germination necessary? | The plant would stay as a seed if it did not germinate. |
What 3 conditions are needed for seeds to germinate? | Water, Oxygen and Warmth. |
