Algebraic expression | A mathematical phrase that has at least one operation |
Variable | A quantity that can change or vary, often represented with a letter |
Associative property of addition | The way numbers are grouped does not affect the sum |
Coefficient | The number that is multiplied by a veritable in an algebraic expression. Ex 6x+5the coefficient is 6 |
Substitution | To replace a variable with a number |
Commutative property of addition | The order in which numbers are added does not change the sum of the number |
Commutative property of multiplication | The orders in which numbers are multiplied does not change the product of the numbers |
