Point of entry   Spot on the face in which radiation is directed when exposing intraoral x-rays.

Positive angulation   When the PID is tipped downward to direct radiation toward the ground. (+angulation)

Vertical angulation   Direction of the central beam in a vertical plane. (up or down)

Vertical bitewing radiograph   BWX placed in the oral cavity vertically.

Horizontal angulation   Direction of the central beam in a horizontal plane. (mesial or distal)
