Point of entry | Spot on the face in which radiation is directed when exposing intraoral x-rays.

Positive angulation | When the PID is tipped downward to direct radiation toward the ground. (+angulation)

Vertical angulation | Direction of the central beam in a vertical plane. (up or down)

||||
Vertical bitewing radiograph | BWX placed in the oral cavity vertically.

||||
Horizontal angulation | Direction of the central beam in a horizontal plane. (mesial or distal)
