Mineral | minerals are naturally occuring substances. Each mineral has its own chemical composition. Minerals are inorganic (not alive)substances. Always solid.

Scratch test | used to determined the hardness of a material

Sedimentary rocks | formed as particles settle to the bottom of the ocean and lakes. Smaller bits of rocks pressed or cemented together. Form layers.
