small intestine   organ where food is mixed with more digestive juices, broken down into nutrients, and absorbed into the body through the villi.

large intestine   organ that removes water from waste material and holds solid waste until it can leave the body.

nutrient   part of food that cells use.

villi   tiny fingerlike lining of small intestine.
