tissue   A group of cells that work together to carry out a particular task (job) in an organism.

many-celled organisms   (multicellular)- An organism made up of many cells.

cell wall   A stiff structure that surrounds and protects a cell. Found in plants.

organelles   A tiny structure within a cell that performs a specific function (job) for that cell. They float in the cytoplasm of the cell.

skeletal system   The system that is made up of all the bones in the body.

bones   The organs that make up a skeleton.

bone marrow   Spongy material inside long bones that produces blood cells.
