Ecological footprint   The impact of a total person or community on the environment, expressed, as the amount of land required to sustain their use of natural resources.

Carrying capacity   The maximum population (number of people, living organisms, or crops) that an region will support without undergoing deterioration.

Biomass   The total mass of organisms in a habitat in a given area or volume.
