The British send many troops to defend the colonist against the French & Indians.   Britain builds a large war debt and passes new taxes on the colonists.  
Parliament passes the Stamp Act and Sugar Act on the colonist.   The colonist refuse to pay the tax and boycott English made goods.  
Parliament passes new tax on teas not imported from the British East India Company.   Sons of Liberty throw the tea into Boston Harbor.  
King George III passes the Intolerable Acts (Coercive Acts) and refused to allow any imports into Boston.   Boston almost starves until other colonists send supplies.  
The British march to Concord under the command of Gen. Gage to search for hidden weapons.   Paul Revere and William Dawes warn of British arrival. The first shot is fired at Lexington.
