The Legislative Branch: The Senate

Senate the upper house of the U.S. legislative branch

President of the Senate also the Vice-President of the United States; called to the Senate only to cast votes to break ties

whips assistants to the floor leaders in the Senate responsible for monitoring and marshaling votes
