Generation Charaters

Baby Boomers (1945-1964) Strong work ethic, value personal communication, and value career over personal life. Value strong work ethic, equality of work. They are self-assured, competitive, resourceful, and mentally focused.
Generation X (1965-1979) Independent, intolerant of bureaucracy, family focused/seek balance, seek rewards based on individual performance. Seeing all people as part of the same peer group. Need instructions that are concise and to the point with immediate feedback. Feel free to challenge authority.
Milennials 1980-1994) Highly socialized, technologically savvy, multitaskers, see education as means to an end, and value personal life over career. They are term or goal oriented, preferring to communicate through some form of electronic means like email or texting. Learn best from group activities.
Generation Z (after 1995) Known characteristics still evolving, technological savants, communicate almost exclusively via social media, appreciate virtual connectedness, connected at all times, and little tolerance for poor connectivity
