What are the three basic particles in Atoms? protons, electrons, neutrons
What kind of energy do batteries store? chemical energy
What type of energy happens when electrons travel through a wire? electrical energy
Where do electrons orbit relative to protons and electrons? outside of the nucleus
Where is the greatest amount of potential energy on a roller coaster? on the top
Can energy be created or destroyed? No. Energy can neither be created nor destroyed; energy can only be transferred or changed from one form to another.
Name one place where energy transforms to another. A toaster transforms electrical energy into thermal energy.
What energy form kept the car at the bottom of the ramp? gravitational energy
What kind of energy is it when you break the bonds between two Atoms? chemical energy
What is the basic elemental unit that everything is made up of? atoms
What kind of charge does a proton have? Positive charge
What kind of charge does an electron have? Negative charge
What kind of charge does a neutron have? neutral or no charge
Do the same charges repel or attract each other? repel
Do the opposite charges repel or attract each other? attract
Which atoms orbit outside the nucleus? electrons
Which atoms form the nucleus in the center? Protons and neutrons
