Past Fortid Fortid is a compound word, made of the words For and tid. For means prior, tid means time.
Present Nåtid Nåtid is a compound word, made of the words nå and tid. Nå means now, tid means time.
Future Fremtid Fremtid is a compound word, made of the words frem and tid. Frem means forward, tid means time.
Lie Løgn Lie has two translations. Ligger means lie (example: to lie down), and løgn means lie (meaning: to not tell the truth). In this case, it means to not tell the truth.
Our Vår Vår has an å.
United States of America Amerikas forente stater The United States of America is also called USA.
Mexico Mexico The Spanish name for Mexico is México.
Theirs Deres Deres is dere but with an added s. Can also means yours (plural).
Glass Glass Glass is a word in both English and Norwegian, and it means the same thing.
Canada Canada Canada in french is Canada.
