### Circle Graphs & Histograms

TermDefinition
Circle Graph Used to show the relationship of parts to the whole.
Data Pieces of information gathered by observation, questioning, or measuring.
Bar Graph A graph using bars to show quantities so they can be easily compared.
Pictograph Used to show frequencies and compare items.
Line Plot A number line showing all of the data in a set.
Inference A conclusion or decision reached based on evidence.
Prediction A forecast of what you think is going to happen based on evidence.
Trend A general direction that something is happening.
Observation When you look at something carefully to gather information.
Histogram A form of a bar graph where categories are consecutive and in equal intervals.
Stem and Leaf Plot A data display that shows data arranged by place value.
