the digestion system starts at the oral cavity then it goes to the thorat aka the pharynx then it goes to the esophagus then it goes into the stomach then it goes into the doudedum then it goes to the jejunum then it goes into the illum then it goes into the cecum then it goes into the ascending colon then the transverse colon then it goes into the descending colon then it goes into the sigmoid colon then it goes to the recutm then finally the anus.

choledoch/o means bile duct the bile duct carry bile from the liver to the GB and from the GB to the dudenum.
pancreat/o means pancreas is located retrogastric secrection of enzymes to dissovle food.
diverticul/o means diverticulum are small herniated sacs of the large instestines.
HH or hiatal hernia is a proturstion or bulging of the stomach through the diapharam .
IH or inguinal herina is a proturstion or bulging of the small intestine into the pelvic cavitiy .
UH or umbilical herina is a proturstion or bulging of the small intestine through the abdomial wall at the umbillicus .
strangulated hernia herniation causing ischemia prelonged ischemia can cause necrosis
ascites is an abnormal accumaltion of fluid in the abdomen casuing distention.
