Quadrilaterals A flat shape with 4 straight sides and 4 angles.
Parallelogram A quadrilateral with opposite sides parallel and congruent (equal).
Rectangle A parallelogram with 4 right angles.
Rhombus A parallelogram with 4 congruent (equal) sides.
Square A rectangle with 4 congruent (equal) sides and 4 right angles.
Trapezoid A quadrilateral with one pair of parallel sides.
Isosceles Trapezoid A trapezoid with two equal sides.
Diagonal A line segment that goes from one corner to another.
Bisect To divide into two equal parts.
Similar Figures Two figures that having sides in proportion and equal angles.
Corresponding Sides The sides of a figure are in the same position on a different figure.
Corresponding Angles The angles of a figure are in the same position on a different figure.
Transformation The movement of a figure on the coordinate plane.
Translation Moving a figure on the coordinate plane by sliding.
Reflecting Moving a figure on the coordinate plane by flipping.
Preimage The location of a figure before a transformation.
