Plant responses and growth

Tropism Plants growth response toward the sun.
Hormone The chemical that effects how the plant grows.
Auxin The name of Chemical the effects how the plant grows.
Photoperiodism The plants response to seasonal changes in the length of night and day.
Critical Night Length This is the number of hours that determines whether or not a plant will flower.
Short-day plant They flower when day light isn't present as much.
Long-day plant They flower when there is a lot of day light.
Day-neutral plant It doesn't matter what season, they always flower.
Dormant This is when organisms basically shut down until there is proper conditions for them to exit out of dormant.
