Precision The consistency of measurements.
Accuracy The difference between a measurement and the actual value.
Mean The average of a set of numbers that is calculated by adding up all of the numbers and then dividing by how many numbers in the set.
Median The middle number of a set of numbers that has been placed in numerical order.
Mode The number in a set of data that occurs most often.
Range The spread of values in a set of data from the smallest value to the largest value that is calculated by subtracting the smallest value from the largest value.
Conclusion A paragraph that summarizes the purpose and results of the investigation, whether the hypothesis is accepted or rejected, a question for further research, something you learned, and advice you have for other scientists conducting the same investigation.
