What is a cell? The basic part of a living organism that is capable of performing the three vital functions
What are the functions of a plasma membrane? transport and interaction
What takes place in the cytoplasm? many of the chemical reactions that are vital for the functioning of the cell
What are the parts of a cell nucleus? the nuclear envelope, the chromatin, the nucleolus
The function of the nucleus is to control the functions of the cell through DNA
The endoplasmic reticulum manufactures proteins
The Golgi apparatus collects substances and uses its vesicles to tranport them to different parts of the cell
In mitochondria takes place the cellular respiration
Lysosomes are vesicles that contain the digestive substances (enzymes) that carry out cell digestion
Ribosomes they manufacture the cell's proteins
Vesicles are small membrane-bound sacs that store waste and substances incorporated into the cell
The centrioles they direct the separation of the chromosomes during cell reproduction
The cytoskeleton provides structural support to the organelles, gives the cell its shape and is involved in cell movement
