Energy the ability to cause motion or create change
Kinetic Energy the energy of motion
Potential Energy energy that is stored in an object
Electric Current an electric charge in motion
Circuit a loop through which electricity flows
Conductor a material through which an electric charge can move easily
Insulator a material through which an electric charge moves slowly
Parallel Circuit a circuit that has 2 or more paths through which electricity may flow
Series Circuit a circuit that has only one circular path
Filament a thin-coiled resistor that transforms electrical energy into light energy and heat
Resistor an object that uses the energy in a circuit
Friction a force that acts when 2 surfaces rub together
Conduction the transfer of heat that occurs when one thing touches another
Convection the transfer of haet as matter moves
Radiation energy that is sent out in waves
