Autotroph AKA PRODUCERS, they are the PHOTOSYNTHETIC organisms (Plants) in an ecosystem
Excretion Removal of cellular wastes in an organism
Growth Life process of an organism increasing in size or cell number
Heterotroph Organisms that cannot make their own food and rely on getting it from other organisms
Metabolism The sum of all cell processes in an organism
Nutrition Life process where an organism takes in food for metabolism
Regulation All activities that help control homeostasis in an organism
Reproduction The life process by which organisms generate others of the same kind. Although NOT needed for homeostasis within an organism, it is requires for the continuation of a species
Respiration Life process that uses glucose and oxygen to generate ATP
Synthesis Life Process where smaller substances are joined to make larger ones
Transport The life process that moves substances throughout an organism
