Rational Number Relationships

Power Form or Exponential Form Numbers expressed using exponents.
Equivalent Having the same value, but "look" different.
Compare To look for similarities and differences.
Order To list items or data in a specific order.
Descending Listing items or data from greatest to least.
Ascending Listing items or data from least to greatest.
Scientific Notation A number written as the product of a number and the power of ten. Used to write very small or very big numbers.
Percent Used to compare a number to 100.
Exponent Tells how many times the base is used as a factor OR tells how many times the base is multiplied by itself.
Base The common factor in a number written in power form.
Convert To change into another form.
Bar Notation A symbol used to indicate a number or pattern repeats.
Numerator The top number in a fraction.
Denominator The bottom number in a fraction.
Square Root A number when multiplied by itself gives the original number.
Squared A base raised to the power of 2.
Cubed A base raised to the power of 3.
