Division Property of equality (p37) | If a = b, and c is not equal 0, then a/c = b/c |

Substitution Property of equality (p37) | If a = b, then either a or b may be substituted for the other in any equation (or inequality). |

Reflexive Property of equality (p37) | a = a |

Symmetric Property of equality (p37) | If a = b, then b = a. |

Transitive Property of equality (p37) | If a = b and b = c, then a = c. |

Reflexive Property of congruence (p37) | Segment DE is congruent to segment DE, angle D is congruent to angle D. |

Symmetric Property of congruence (p37) | If segment DE is congruent to segment FG, then segment FG is congruent to segment DE. |

Transitive Property of congruence (p37) | If segment DE is congruent to segment FG and segment FG is congruent to segment JK, then segment DE is congruent to segment JK. If angle D is congruent to angle E and angle E is congruent to angle F, then angle D is congruent to angle F. |

Distributive Property (p38) | a(b + c) = ab + ac |
