polygon (p5) A two-dimensional figure that is formed by three or more segments called sides. Each side must intersect exactly two other sides, one at each endpoint. No two sides intersect each other more than once.
side (p5) One of any of the line segments that form the polygon.
triangle (p5) A polygon that has three sides.
quadrilateral (p5) A polygon that has four sides.
pentagon (p5) A polygon that has five sides.
octagon (p5) A polygon that has eight sides.
perimeter (p5) The sum of all the side lengths.
area (p5) The number of square units needed to cover the figure.
