Wavelength | Length of a wave; measured from crest to crest |
Frequency | The number of wavelengths that pass by a point each second |
Law of Reflection | The angle that the wave hits a reflective surface, it'll bounce back the same |
Refraction | The change in direction of a wave when it changes speed as it travels from one material to another |
Diffraction | When waves bend and change direction and instead go around obstacles |
Opaque | Materials let no light pass through |
Translucent | Materials absorb some light but also reflect some |
Transparent | Materials let almost all light through |
Reflect | When light bounces right off the material |
Absorb | When light gets taken into the material |
Transmit | When light goes right through the material |
Loudness | Volume; the magnitude of sound |
